NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Slice Labs Inc., a leading on-demand insurance cloud platform provider, today announced the hire of Philippe Lafreniere as Chief Growth Officer. Lafreniere brings over 25 years of global insurance technology experience to the role, where he will focus on building more meaningful relationships with companies committed to becoming digital insurers and serving the needs of the on-demand economy.
“We have architected a very talented team of employees at all levels that are passionate about disrupting the insurance industry with cloud technology,” says CEO Tim Attia. “Philippe is widely respected for his ability to break through the clutter of technology buzzwords to help insurers derive real value from innovative technologies. At his most recent employer this included strategically leveraging artificial intelligence, which is a sweet spot for Slice Insurance Cloud services.
As Chief Growth Officer, Lafreniere will work with carriers globally to partner on the development of realistic plans for creating new digital insurance products serving business and consumer end-customers. He will also infuse product development and marketing strategies with insight into customer and broader industry discussions to help refine ICS.
Lafreniere is a proven insurance industry executive with a bench of experience in product management, product marketing and sales for various global, industry-leading technology companies. Before joining Slice, he served as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing at EIS Group, where he was responsible for helping insurers transform into agile, digital enterprises. Prior to that, Lafreniere served as Vice President of Product Innovation at iter8, as well as Director of Product Marketing and Management at Camilion Solutions, where he helped scale the company before its acquisition to SAP in 2013.
“This is the most exciting time to be an insurer in my entire career of working with carriers around the world,” said Lafreniere. “Slice ICS has the potential to disrupt one of the oldest industries, waking up sleeping giants to transform customer experiences leading to a brighter and more sustainable future for the industry.”
A graduate of the Insurance Institute of Canada, Lafreniere received his C.I.P. before completing an Executive Program in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management.
